Most of us who weren't in one of the crazy factions of the GOP were libertarians at heart anyway. That is where many of us ended up. After Bob Dole, the GOP hasn't run a presidential candidate who was even remotely worth a fuck. I voted for Bush in 2000 only because he wasn't Gore and I hadn't yet realized the depth of his stupidity. I don't think I'll be voting for a GOP POTUS candidate again for a very long time, if ever.
