So, I went to the supermarket to buy the pepperoni for the pizza, because I do not feel like overpaying for pepperoni at the pizza parlor.
When a thread starts like this, you know it's gonna be awesome!

you can get the same kind of pepperony by Hormel in 3.5-oz packs for only $1.99. What a fucking rip-off!!! Basicaly, if you buy the thing at the front then you will pay more for less.
I actually bought pepperoni at the store last night too and noticed that same price descrepancy. But, it turned out in the more expensive packages, there was three times as much meat. Did you check the weight label on the packaging?

First of all that Hormal shit isn't even edible...What kind of meat doesn't need to be refrigerated...Yuck..!
They don't refrigerate a lot of smoked sausauge. You seal it in the packaging, doesn't need to be refrigerated. Even the expensive pepperoni logs at the store I go to aren't refrigerated.
And, I've tried the more expensive sausauge. It doesn't taste as good as the cheap stuff.

I just bought a whole wheat pizza, I thought that it would be great but it tastes like a piece of shit. Lesson learned.
All whole grain bread you'll buy at a supermarket is crap. Whatever preservatives they put in there, makes it taste like cardboard. If you want to eat whole grain bread, you really gotta make it yourself. Dough freezes well and I've been meaning to spend the time to make my own whole grain bread well, then freeze it for future use. But, I've never gotten my act together that much. I do make whole grain pizza dough and freeze that though. It's pretty easy, the recipe I use only has like six ingredients.
Whole grain bread is a major disappointment in the food industry for me. Some genius really needs to mass produce whole grain dough, freeze it, then let people heat it up in the oven for twenty minutes at home. All that white bread is is starch with a few nutrients they've thrown in to mask what garbage it is.
