Why is there some kind of "revival" for this asshole? I hear people talking about him at work like he's some kind of ultimate bad ass. The same chump that got knocked out in 14 seconds by a Mark McGrath look alike? I'm not saying he wouldn't tear me apart in a milisecond or %99 of the people that post here but he just doesn't have the skill to compete with competent fighters. I can't believe this guy is getting a second wave of hype...must be the whole "underdog" angle which I can respect but I see it ending in just another humiliating under 20 second KO from a sub-average fighter who just has more technique than a guy with no real training.

Dana White is currently exploiting him. That's all you need to know. He's a fucken pile of muscle but he's no UFC fighter and that fact will play itself out.

The guy has charisma, a marketing need that many fighters don't have. He is also very raw. Bas Rutten took his $$ and glad handed him, not really trained him. If Kimbo was 10-15 years younger, he'd have a lot of potential. As it is, he better be a quick learner. No matter what, the guy hit the lottery. Its like he's getting showered with free $$, so more power to him.

He is not very good, but I cannot begrudge him for taking the huge wad of money EliteXC chucked at him, or getting the exposure on TUF/UFC. Any guy out there making a living getting slugged woud kill to have his run of luck.
And Tank Abbott was a mediocre fighter in a time when MMA was pretty thin talent-wise. Now he is a fucking punchline. He's fighting Butterbean next. Dear god...

I kind of feel sorry for him. He seems like a decent enough guy who's playing a role of a thug. He just looks like he's so far in over his head and realizes it, but doesn't know how to get out.

Yep, that is Kimbo's claim. To me Bas seems like the used car salesman of MMA. He'll take any dollar offered to him to shill for any organization/fight/fighter. I have heard of guys in Pro Wrestling that will bleed wealthy fans (money marks) out of every cent they can. Bas seems like the type. Seems that everything Bas has been involved in recently has gone right down the shitter. IFL, Pride, Kimbo/EliteXC. And he had such a good line of BS with IFL, that they bumped him from being a coach to the president or commissioner or something. Wait, how about MMA's Isiah Thomas, does that make sense?
