Going to trial will force Letterman to publicly admit to every tawdry sex act he performed on the victims of his sexual harassment. Dave will cry uncle and the charges will be dropped.
He would've been better off to just tell his wife: "Honey, if you don't mind, I'd like to regularly bone my dumb whore intern to, ya know, relieve some of the stress", paid off the Schwab, and had the best of both worlds. He can afford it but he's a cheap bastard. PS I am not Craig Ferguson
