I am more than a winger, I am a liberal's worst nightmare (see my brilliantly ironic previous posts). My main beef with Letterman is he decided to become an un-funny hack for Obama and the Hollywood left through his comedy, violating the basic rule of comedy - to be funny. Eventually, he got so nasty somebody called him on it (Palin). I just saw the MSNBC documentary on Dave and the late night wars and you can just see how he degenerated into Krusty the Klown. His relationship with his spinoff (Craig Ferguson) is interesting also - Letterman skimps on the show budget so that Ferguson doesn't have resources to outshine him - which would allow CBS to dump Letterman. Dave's a dinosaur and needs to retire. I predict he will be gone in less than a year in an ego-enabled "retirement" by CBS.
