Meanwhile, Robert Joel Halderman was indicted by a grand jury and faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison if convicted. He appeared in Court shackled with his hands behind his back before posting bail at $200,000.
Who had a worse day?
I read this morning that on the advice of the police, Letterman gave him a dummy cheque for $2,000,000, which he tried to cash - that's going to make a defense of "this is all just a big misunderstanding" a little hard to make work.
