What's the last thing that blew your mind?
so i'm a fag and i watched True Blood this season- no surprise there. any female within 100 feet of your TV on a sunday night will burn your fucking house down if you don't have HBO. i know this now. and "if you can't beat 'em, ..."
so the cuddly, alcoholic detective andy bellefleur has always struck me as strangely familiar, but i could never quite place him. yet i knew the feeling was real, in the sense it wasn't just another hallucination.
yesterday it hit me: "Machine" from 8MM. ofcourse. how embarrassing- he's eluded me all these years. how's it going Chris Bauer? henceforth he'll be known as Detective Machine.

When I almost ran over a blind gut about an hour ago. I was waiting to make a right turn and creeping forward as I looked to my left when I felt something shaking my car. It was a blind guy with a seeing eye dog who was making sure I realized he was there. He then proceeded across the intersection and I almost yelled out, "Hey, I'm sorry I didn't see you!" But I realized you can't say that to a blind guy.

Good call on the Chris Bauer.... I never put that together and I really liked that character.
Much like Bornyo things don't really surprise me. It's all about me and all.
Last thing that made me go "heh" was sitting at a light in downtown Albany with my kid and watching some Korean student walk up to a busy four way intersection, press the pedestrian walk button, and without a moments pause march out into traffic. The gook made it but the guy next to me in an F-150 almost shit himself.
We laughed about that shit to almost exit 15(Saratoga).

I hear ya Dean but the upstate WOPS with bank could care less. They have houses on Lake George during the week and they bet big at Toga on the weekends. That and the fact it really is a good time up in the Sun and clean air.

I read that book. I love Hunter but he is absolute shit at writing female characters. Looking forward to the film. Thanks Mark.
