btw, I was at a double header in 1979, Mets/Phillies, for "Pete Rose Day". Pete had tied Wee Willie the year before after breaking the "modern" record at Shea [I think it was 37] and the morons that ran the Mets [Payson's daughters] thought it would be a good idea to have a "Pete Rose Day" at Shea. Early on the "Pete Rose Sucks" chants started. By the start of the second game, they were SO LOUD, which was AMAZING since the place was SO EMPTY.
