Ren, you are completely correct. Polygraphs are about one step (a very small step) above dowsing wands and tarot cards. I have no clue what is going on here (I've barely followed whatever the story is), so let this be a more general point: unless you've signed your rights away, you should absolutely never submit to a polygraph, even when you're 100% positive that you're innocent/telling the truth. The FBI still uses them as supplemental to their casework, and it seems to work something like this: if you fail, you're guilty; if you pass, you're a well-trained liar.. I had a client that passed three polygraphs with flying colors, and he was still considered a suspect until more than a year later.
