Also, to whomever commented above- we don't drink out of pickle jars down here. We use Ball or Mason jars for everyday iced tea drinking and Welches jelly jars for juice glasses. We might use a pickle jar to hold nails or screws. If you want to take it to the extreme, screw the lid to the bottom of a shelf in your workshop, fill the jar with nails, nuts bolts or screws then just screw the jar into the lid. Store your fasteners visibly without taking up valuable storage space. (I may have learned this from a 1959 issue of Popular Mechanics).
