Though the child "started crying and screaming" after being struck, Stephens told Matthews, "See, I told you I would shut her up." After police were summoned, Stephens told a cop that the child was crying "and he just slapped her," according to the report. Stephens was arrested for felony cruelty to children and booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond. Paige sustained "slight redness to the face," but was otherwise unharmed.

He is the hero of every person who has sat through an 11 hour flight and listened to a kid screaming all the way there. I think it should be an FAA regulations that children under 10 are sedated before boarding, they can put them in the cargo hold, out of the way.

The kid was crying before he slapped her and she cried after he slapped her. His method might not have been sound, but at least he gave her a legitimate reason to cry.

No, that's child molesters you're thinking of. There won't be one convict who hasn't wanted to do the same thing.
I agree it's wrong to hit children, especially when it's really the parents fault. What I suggest is that only the parents are hit. Any time a child is screaming or otherwise is uncontrollable in public, anyone has the right to punch the parent in the face, right there and then. It could become a public gauge of their parenting skills. And I would be really interested to know just how many popknots you show up with Viz.

Funny... Bishop and I were talking about this last night.
Until you have a kid you have no idea.
I've only ever had one person fuck with my kid in front of me and it ended with a short convo in the rinks parking lot.
And then theres the flipside... You can be at birthday party and theres fifty 8 yr olds running around and your kids voice is the only one that pisses you off.

I'm going to go out and slap a crying baby in remembrance of your critter. I feel the need to lash out at small things because I'm not happy with my life and the things that affect my life. I can't control myself and I don't fear the backlash.

Well i am sorry to hear that she passed away . She was a very photogenic hamster . I'm sure she lived a happy life as your pet and enjoyed life to the fullest .

He's lucky to be alive, and with all of his body parts still attached. It wouldn't be surprising had even an unrelated bystander beaten the crap out of him.

No, it was child abusers in general that I was thinking of.
See, there's this cool thing called 'impulse control' that most people have, and use, on a daily basis. I've been in similar situations where I thought a screaming kid was going to drive me insane, but the fact that I'm a thinking human with...you guessed it, 'impulse control', I don't haul off and smack the kid. Same thing goes for bad drivers that I'd like to run off of the road...impulse control kicks in to prevent me from going full out road rage on them.
The thing about the 'parent's fault' is true. If the kid's out of control it's the parent's responsibility to remove the kid from the store, or otherwise gain control over the situation. BUT, this is a fucking baby we're talking about...not some jagoff little kid, but a baby. And the person who tried to control the baby was some random asshole.
And as for questioning my parenting skills, fuck you dude. From the sound of it, you wouldn't have the patience to keep a cactus alive and well let alone a human being.

Where did I question your parenting skills again? I just wanted to check, because it always seems to be people like yourself who think that if you drag your fuck trophies in to public that the rest of the world has to wait on you hand and foot. Your ‘impulse control’ is the real problem here. You pull back when you should be smacking little jr. across his backside after he has lit the cat on fire and dropped your cell phone into the garbage disposal for the third time, instead you take away his playstation3 for a couple hours. But, I’m not trying to tell you how to raise your children, I really don't care, I’m just saying quit bothering me with them.
