"In its recent posting, 2007 Trends in Executive Pay, the organization notes that average CEO pay was 42 times that of the average employee in 1980. In 1990, the average CEO was getting 107 times that of the average employee. Ten years later it was 525 times. But by 2006 the average CEO was getting “just” 364 times the pay of the average worker."

I'll assume Gunker is trying to validate my assertion that Liberal economic policy is all about class warfare with his comment...
But yeah, CEO's are overpaid. Even W. Bush made a comment about that while he was serving. You gonna structure your entire tax system just to try to "get" the CEO's? Looking at who pays the taxes in the higher tax brackets, you're gonna catch way more small business owners in that net than fat cat CEO's.
That link you've provided, I would definitely support more transparency in not only CEO, but all executive compensation in publicly traded companies. Make them publish that shit in the annual report as part of filing requirements for being traded on major stock markets. Transparency works in combatting corruption. As it is now, most of those compensation details are just hidden from view.
Here's an article I linked to awhile back on who pays the taxes in the higher income brackets: Click

Chum for the stupid, i.e. King, faithfully watching his Fox News to GET ALL OF THE ANSWERS, i.e. "free market", "flat tax rate", unions = anti-American, Ann Coulter = deep-throat-capable "girl", and other lies espoused by such clever journalists such as Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, ad infinitum.
Where are those Pulitzers for the fine, insightful journalism on Fox "News"?
You don't put any thought at all into what conservatives think do you Gunker? Just assume their mindset is dictated entirely by a television station who consistently puts commercially eye-catching content in place of any real discussion. Of course they're the most popular conservative outlet, they run their entire station based on popcorn people will eat.
Do you make this assumption because this is how you arrive at your political conclusions? And, assume everyone else does this?

Where, oh, where, are they???!!!
What I wanna know is where are the Liberal voices that people can put faith into? Conservative ones are all over the place. I can't stand Limbaugh, Hannity, or O'Reilly who are the bubble gum for the masses. But, even with more intelligent discussion. there's David Brooks, Bill Kristol, George Will, Charles Krauthammer that I love. Who are the Liberal voices that people put their faith in? They're not even on the map with the more Conservative voices.
Why do you think that is that no one can articulate the Liberal mindset and achieve mass popularity?
