Use some of those silica packs that come with electronics goods for the same effect.

I forgot an mp3 player in some shorts that went into the laundry and got washed for 30 minutes. Luckily, I found them before frying it in the dryer. The player came back to life after taking it apart, placing it on a towel and letting it dry under a desk lamp for a day or two.
