In the audio commentary for From Dusk Til Dawn, Quentin said that he wanted it to be a crime-caper, like the Getaway, and then about midway through when you're least expecting it, turn it into a vampire flick. Personally I liked it up until Tarantino bit the dust, then it turned into a big steaming pile of turd.

After that Mexico flick, I concluded that Robert Rodriguez, like M. Night Shyamalan and Timmy 'Batman' Burton, was nothing but a fucking hack! Once Upon a Time in Mexico was possibly the stupidest piece of fucking crap I've ever watched.
