In Australia you can receive unemployment benefits indefinitely. I think USA should be like this. There are probably a small percentage of people who abuse the system but generally unemployment sucks and people want to work if they have the opportunity. I'd hate to be worried about registering as unemployed just so I could have a few years up my sleeve in case of emergency
