Does anyone know what's happening with Goldstar, words out that Eli Thomas from Goldstar almost choked a model to death in a drunken stupor. Joel Lawrence left LA and moved to Florida, running from something. Heard he is losing his models and his business, and that Goldstar is under some federal investigation.

But the shocker is that Joel Lawrence who runs Goldstar, has moved to Miami leaving a quasi-manager in place to run affairs in town.
"A lot of people are seeing this as a clear victory for Derek in the agency wars," says the Vizier.

Since the industry changed so much in the last year .... I'll be quite honest ... No agents have been much use to me, i book almost all my work myself ... As talent in this industry if you're not prepared to book yourself for some stuff you probably won't get an overwelming amount of work ... just not out there like it used to be when you could just throw a photo on a modeling site and get double booked all week ... lol ....

In general, I don't handle (new) people well. If you haven't noticed that in 4 years of conversing with me in Vegas & LA, I don't know what to tell you.

Bree just happened to be someone I conversed with via Myspace when she got into the business back in '06. Every now & then I'll break out of my shell. We kept in touch because she thought I was interesting & held intelligent conversation. Despite her latest wigger-like, pseudo-ghetto trash ramblings, the girl can hold her own. We had stuff in common, thing that made conversation somewhat easy.

Rejection sucks. It's something that is totally depressing & unless a chance is taken, you get nowhere. Been there too often, prefer to avoid it. Sounds emo, I know, but I'm not much of a risk taker when it comes to relationships. I have a very shallow comfort zone.
As for "friends", Gia, I don't really hang out with anyone. I go to shows, eyeball a chick or two - maybe even buy her a drink as the night goes on, but usually avoid the letdown of meaningless conversation or that she's already hooked up. I'm going to a Jackyl concert tomorrow night with a coworker (ya, I know, another 80's band), but we've never hung out before. He's originally from FW, but just moved back after living in the B'more area for a couple years.

Hey Eric,
I realize that it's kind of awkward for me to be talking to you after our history, but I do have a friend I think you'd like. There's never been anything between us so it won't get all weird and stuff.

To indulge you, "she's" not my type...let alone my species. Points for effort & all. 
Truth be told, the only thing I've learned in the past year is to be weary of who I trust or invest my time in. When you invest time & emotion in something that you care about - be it a porn whore or not; or even a hobby - not everyone feels like just dusting off & starting over. I'd rather be alone than risk disappointment...again. Just not worth the hassle.
