Back when I was in High School Upper Merion Township(King of Prussia) passed an ordinance making black Lawn Jockeys against the law. If you wanted a Lawn Jockey you had to paint its face and hands white. Almost everybody threw away their Lawn Jockeys that week.
I went through a yard ornament phase a few years ago. I have a Buddha sitting under a tree, a mermaid out in one corner (that my 3 year old loves to slap in the face), a few nudes and various gargoyles around. And a lawn jockey. I bought it with a white face, and my sister painted it black. My neighbors were most offended by the nudes.
