Smiling Arab, don't you worry one bit my man.....You'll be jerking off to porn till the day you die if you want to. Porn is a multimillion dollar industry. There are too many people who want it. It's not just liberals who are buying porn. It is a valid point you make for you to not vote for Bush, put it seem impractical if it's the only reason. IMO, keeping this country (and others) safe, is the most important thing.

I don't doubt that these things go in cycles, or that the ones that first promised a "Republic of Virtue" were reds. But when it comes to vice, remember that there's always been a demand for gambling, drugs and whores, too. Doesn't make off-track betting or shooting galleries or prostitution legal except in little areas where the government says so.

My point is that this particular administration has, demonstrably, made prosecuting porn a priority. That's the importance of the Extreme case. It's not a local DA, like in the Max Hardcore and Seymore Butts cases. It's a federal prosecution.

Is that enough to vote Ashcroft off the island? As a civil libertarian, it is for me, but everyone's got their own threshold and priorities. I can respect that.
