Samsung DVD-1080P9 upconverting DVD player reads .mpeg files off the big Verbatum hard drive, and plays them to the ancient history TV using composite video. I think I can reach the RGB inputs in the RV, that should do OK for now. The unit does not come with a HDMI cable, which I noticed is about $54.

(The player has a crude interface you can navigate the hard drive's file system with. From what little I read, several other brands of DVD players with USB ports do similar stuff, I bought what was there, cheap, plus it will upconvert my old DVD's for the RV's HD widescreen.)

I'm happy now, I can watch this downloaded stuff on a bigger screen. I may have to get a better TV now.
