It costs 1/3 as much to have a baby delivered in Mexico as it does in the US,

that isn't surprising. they're a third world nation.

and you get better service.

this, on the other hand, is surprising. what services are better in mexico than the us regarding childbirth? free swineflu? remember, cheaper doesn't necessarily equal better.

I don't know anyone who has used India but a friend of mine who couldn't afford US hospital did go to Mexico for his son's birth 4 years ago.

ok, so you know one person that went to mexico and zero that went to india for health care. well done. to be honest, I'm ready to have my mind changed on this issue. health care abroad sounds peachy, I'm jetsetting over to reykjavik so bjork can apply some alpine tundra to my 4th chakra that will hopefully regulate my heart arrhythmia. wish me luck! why haven't I heard of this exodus of americans to mexico and india for health care? is it equal to or greater than the amount of our friends from the north that come here for heath care? are there any hard numbers that compare inbound vs. outbound patients, u.s. vs. theworld? elective surgery excluded of course.
