It costs 1/3 as much to have a baby delivered in Mexico as it does in the US, and you get better service. But remember to bring cash since you won't get in the door otherwise, and "cash" means "cash", not checks or credit cards.

India is growing quite an industry doing more complex surgeries such as hip replacement etc. It's especially competitive in procedures that have long recovery times. But again payment is made on the spot or in advance.

I don't know anyone who has used India but a friend of mine who couldn't afford US hospital did go to Mexico for his son's birth 4 years ago.
