I think that some of the guys making porn begin to focus on a particular style or theme and wind up typecasting themselves. They seem to be completely disinterested in sex in general and the woman involved in particular--other than as a means to accomplishing a particular type of fetish sex act.
I will watch just about any type of scene (almost) if it has a woman in it that I find attractive, since I search for movies based on the actress not the sex act. I have watched Max Hardcore movies because I wanted to see a scene based on the woman involved, NOT because I was a fan of Max's particular type of kink.
So I always find it a bit of a strained rationalization (to protect either a fragile ego or a guilty conscience) when somebody like Max justifies the type of kink he produces by saying that it must be OK because all of the guys who watch his movies must be into his particular fetish; not because they could possibly be interested in the woman/prop he uses to display his fetish.
I suspect that other than a vocal minority of supporters, most of the guys who have watched a Max Hardcore scene are just as disinterested in Max's fetish as he is in the woman he is using as a prop. Suffering through Max's fetish is just a necessary evil to get to see another scene with a particular PW, but listening to him pat himself on the back and claim that anybody who watches his movies are only focused on the fetish and not the PW and justify the "market" for more of his shit should be his greatest crime.
