I wonder how much of that impression is due to over-exposure of the single-dimensional and rote way XPT judges whores. So, the phenomena just becomes a blur. I can see the ones who haven't been on the board for so long getting their kicks out of it. But, we got members who have been a mod for years who never seem to get enough of starting a thread to copy and paste some bit of a story and giggling at how brilliant they are by posting a simple comment, "stupid whore! hehe She'll never get rich and famous this way!". Well, of course not. And, it probably WAS funny the first 5,000 times that was posted.

And, TV drama. I've gotten about convinced the difference between movies and television is the writers don't put as much effort into television. Movies are a one-time gig where you can push in some thought and inspiration. Television, even shot for television movies, is a steady job where the aim is to churn out the product on schedule. So, there's more of a formulaic approach to getting the work done.

But, I've never seen hated. I just searched for it on my DVR. Notta came up.
