Today I went to the Sears at Kings Plaza because I needed to buy the drillbits for my new drill. Initially I placed an order with Amazon for a really nice Milwaukee-branded 14-piece cobalt drillbit set but a couple of days later I received "sorry, item unavailable" email from Amazon. So I decided to head to Sears and buy something there as an alternative.

When I arrived to Kings Plaza, I walked around to see if there is anything new or if there any any sales or deals for things, and then I went to Sears. Over at Sears I walked around, again to look for sales and deals and then I remember that it is Sunday, and that on weekends they do this presentation and if you stay thru it then you get somekind of a FREE gift. The previous gifts that I received from 2 presentations were filet knife and a plastic fruit-swirly peeler. Basically there is a Shamwow/Billy Mays kind of guy stands behind a special display stand and demonstrates different kitchen gadgets and talks about how great they are, and if you stay thru the whole demonstartion then you get a FREE cheap gift. Today's FREE cheap gift was a metal vegetable peeler, the kind that Manhttan Peeler Guy (Joe Ades) used to sell over at Union Square market and 34th Street, but this FREE peeler is of Chinese make, so my hopes are not high for it.

So, basically today's product for demonstration was a mandolin slicer, with somekind of a patented blade-changing knob technology. It was said that this slicer is better than the $200.00 professional slicer that the pro chefs use, this is bullshit IMHO. Anyway, today's presentation guy was very sloppy on words and in action: he even splashed some water on the black guy and his wife. I also noticed that in every demo theres some elderly lady in the crowd that always aproves and praises the product, there was a lady that aproved the product today and in the 1st presentation. In the end I was happy with my FREE gift. And as always, I had my handy MP3 player with me, the one that has the voice recording feature, and I taped the whole demonstration secretly, just like I did 2 other demos. I will upload it shortly.
