Tony Alamo has never been driven by religion. Greed is all that motivates him.

For this huckster and his former, now deceased wife, Susan, religion has been nothing but a means used to enrich themselves. Early on they changed their names and both switched their religious affiliation simply because they realized it is a whole lot easier to scam money under religious pretenses from Christians than from Jews. Or at least the pool of potential targets is a whole lot wider.
