Dear Mr. Steward,
There are people more liked and more respected on here for years and have never been made a mod. But someone like redgoat has? He must have talked a pretty big game to allow you to make him a mod. He's a fucking brownoser.
He has done nothing but cause problems and created uncalled drama since he got here. He has harassed, threatened, and stalked many here even threatening one with what he found out about him online. And despite what anyone thinks of Desi Fox, redgoat showed how clearly unbalanced he truly is when dealing with her.
He is a liability and should never have been made a moderator of any forum. Especially a forum where many professionals of the industry frequent.
Why make someone a mod on a board that isn't one of the busiest boards here? You don't need another mod on there and Mr. Brandon Iron can certainly handle the mod duties there.
Do us and the future of xpt a favor and fire shitgoat and relieve him of his duties.
I can't start a poll with this shit proxy I have. So sign this fucking petition, dammit!

I like RedGoat, and I don't really care who is and isn't a mod ... until and unless they actually ban people [in almost all cases] or lock threads [without cause]. BUT, let us accept the premise that RedGoat is "unbalanced". Nothing, I mean NOTHING has been as entertaining as the demise of "unbalanced" mods! So, while I don't foresee a RedGoat meltdown, I promise that if you are right about him being a poor mod choice, HIS DOWNFALL WILL BE CLASSIC!

Indeed. There are several mods here and things will be in check.
The great thing about this thread is that if this was on ADT it would be accepted a scripture with no complaints whatsoever. Despite previous posts about what is happening to XPT I think that this shows it's alive and well.

So this begs the question, besides you not liking him, what he done to have this pretend power taken away like so much dust in the wind? Has he deleted your postings, fairly or unfairly? OK, I'm stuck, people. What else does a mod do? Do they decide what other forums we go to war with? Do they decide life and death? What the fuck do they do, besides have a title?

So his saying xpt instead of xxxporntalk is meaningless and not worth being a moderator.
At least Brandon got a post announcing his return. And we all know by now SM isn't the original.

IT'S JEFF'S BOARD. He can make anyone he wants a moderator.
So what if the mention of XPT on Stern got Redgoat the position? Are you angling for the position? Were you de-mod-ed yourself?
Who exactly cares who is a mod on a board were almost no thread is locked, where very few are deleted, where almost no member is suspended or banned without reason/warning and where so few posts are ever altered?
On XPT, if we don't notice you're modship, you're doing a great job.

I dunno about that. In Toronto the garbage men get paid (including various bankable sick days and other benefits) around $50.00 an hour.

The Idaho stuff is dense, green, stinky, sticky and delicious.

I miss smoking weed more than anything. I stopped in early 2K. THe only reason I don't smoke is becasue of random tests on the job and pre-employment testing. If I could find a job that paid decently and didn't test I'd be back on the herb right away/ Its been 6 or 7 years since I quit I still have 2 of the same dreams. You have to remember that the 70s were drugs sex and Rock and roll. There were no airplane issues, they would just bring the shit in from South America or Hawaii, no problem. There were not any TSA issues.
Todays KUSH is nothing compared to the 70s version. The probem back then was that they would often lace the stuff with LSD or some other form of acid which gave it a whole new effect.They used a lot of blotter both green and purple( purple haze) back then
I have not had the chance to sample all of the great California strains that the sell in the stores.But you have to remember back then a Oz was like $50 for the very best stuff. Jamacaian Blue was expensive though. That shit was sticky as hell.
You guys would know better, maybe it's cause IM old, but it just seems that the stuff back then was better. There was so much of it that it was every where.

Better is a relative term....back in the 70s most of the weed was sativa and the high is different. Today commercial growers use indica or indica/sativa hybrids. Indica varieties are more cost effective since you get larger yields with shorter maturation times. Sativa varieties give an upbeat trippy high, usually more giggly, while indica is more mellow, laid back high.

What I wish I could find is some nice "sleepy" weed. The kind where an hour after you smoke you are ready to pass out. The stuff I get keeps me up for about 3-4 hours after i smoke, then I munch out and pass out. I'd like a bag around to cut 2 hours and a lot of calories out of my high.

I don't take the pot either. Last time I smoked it was about 15 yrs ago, and it was as bad an experience as it was for me the time before that- probably 25 yrs ago.
It's like having a fat lady sitting on my chest. I can't breath deeply enough and that leads to discomfort. I don't need that.

Outlawing hemp made their product much more valuable in the market... Not swearing toward that knowledge, but I do remember raising my hand in a Sociology course in college and saying something like that and the professor agreeing with me...

It was primarily the lumber industry that is responsible for marijuana being illegal. They put pressure on politicians who needed money and newspaper owners (can't print a newspaper without paper). Politicians also needed the support of the newspapers to get elected which they wouldn't get with the lumber industry pulling the strings. Marijunana was also used by a significant number of migrant farm workers who were mostly black and latino that couldn't afford to buy bootleg whiskey so it provided another excuse to the largely racist public and gave white law enforcement an excuse to hassle minorities during prohibition redirecting the focus from bootleggers(who were white).

You can make regular paper out of hemp? That's why lumber industry was against marijuana? Don't know why the lumber companies wouldn't just grow their own plants. Easier to grow than trees. The story I remember about Dupont, it was a patented synthetic material that they were competing with against hemp. Somebody found Anyway, no I'm not stoned right now. Don't even know why I'm talking about this. I just looked it up on Wikipedia... Apparently we're thinking of the same story: Quote:

9. In 1941 Henry Ford built a plastic car made of fiber from hemp and wheat straw. Anything made from a hydrocarbon can be made from a carbohydrate. The 21st century should be the era of the carbohydrate (sustainable agricultural products.) Hemp plastic is biodegradable, synthetic plastic is not.
10. Hemp is the world's most versatile fiber. Almost any product that can be made from wood, cotton, or petroleum (including plastics) can be made from hemp. There are more than 25,000 known uses for hemp!

What I heard could be apocryphal.
It was the jazz era, the 20s & 30s. Allegedly it was big with black jazz musicians who allegedly began to popularize it with white youth who were into jazz culture in perhaps similar ways to "wiggers" and hip-hop/rap in our time.
Oddly, the theory was that pot made people violent. Maybe the residue of the "hashish/assassin" thing from the Crusades [our word assassin is derived from the Arabic for "eater of hashish"].
There were fears of black jazz thugs with razors run amok. [for some reason the "razor" was the stereotype weapon of choice for the "colored", if you will].
I recall seeing a quote from a politician or maybe a newspaper editorial about pot given blacks the courage to look white women in the eye, or something to that effect.
So, it's hopped-up black men, violent & sexually aroused in the presence of young waiting-to-be-deflowered-when-drugged white women ... all to the soundtrack of that pernicious jazz.
You get all those elements in "Reefer Madness," where pot leads to violence when one guy tries to drug the "virgin" girl, they've got the piano going with jazz [which was a bit of code for blacks, like rock & roll was in the 50's].
The Mexican thing makes alot of sense, but there weren't many of them here. So, maybe what I heard was about why NY made it illegal.
Maybe every area has their own anti-pot Genesis.
When I worked in the internet world, this Mormon guy I knew said that the main reason it was banned was that run-of-the-mill Mormons were getting high and it pissed off the elders. [You know, his theory fits well with the Mexican theory ... maybe its a side reason, too. No idea.]

William Randolph Hearst was:
(A) a politician;
(B) the biggest newspaper publisher in the country; and
(C) the owner of vast tracts of timber. His own newspapers were self-sufficient, but without hemp he could control his competitors' supply of paper as well.

I used to buy weed from this black dude in Trenton, lbs. Never failed, everytime I called him he had the shit on him, then when I got to his place, I'd wind up driving all over Trenton. One time I asked him if he did anything besides sell weed....

Those were the days.

Yeah, true, but Harry was more of a pitbull than a planner, being the son-in-law of Treasury Secretary Andrew J. Mellon. Mellon was one of the industrialists who made a shit ton of money off of German patents (seized as WWI reparations) for products that competed with Hemp.
Also, Prior to this, Harry was in charge of the Prohibition office and knew he'd need a new job when that went bust.
