You know I never much got into those books. I was saddled with a quite a few chick protagonist books, since I had an older sister providing book hand-me-downs though.

I did read a Nancy Drew ghost themed book to my little niece once though, and she was scared, so I don't quite get why that would be unusual for a child to be afraid of those books.
