Ok guys just a reminder that the draft is this Sunday August 29 at 11:30pm eastern standard time. There are two spots still open if anyone wants in. I will be closing the registration on Friday night so if you want in join before then. So for us 8 in so far don't forget if you think you can't make the draft to pre rank your players on your team page or else the computer might make some funky ass picks for you or pick guys you hate.

Yeah you can trade with other guys in the league but there is a 2 day waiting period in between in order for the other teams in our league to raise any objections to the trade. For example if I said I'll trade you travis minor for priest holmes and you agreed- the other guys could veto the trade because it is too lopsidded.
Also you can pick up players and drop them all year until near the end, in other words there will be a lot of guys who are not drafted at all, so you can put in a claim on them and drop an equal number from your roster (1 for 1). Now if someone else has already put a claim in on that same guy whoever has a higher priority that week gets the guy. It is really easy to do once we all draft because then your team page is filled up and you can start setting up your roster and backups and trading and more.

It's too bad you can't make the draft, I'm glad you preranked because the computer does some funky things if you don't- like I said you can add/release players after the draft or ask others in the league for trades if you want other players than those drafted by the computer.

chico, the draft order was chosen by the computer a few minutes before the draft room opened. Everyone check their mail on yahoo for info on trades and such so you know what's up. Like the trade I got going now

I thought it would say "trade accepted" or something like that. I like Larry because he played for Pittsburgh. I love all Pittsburgh teams. (but my favorite college team is Penn State.)
Plus I think he has good potential in his first year.

I think I have the deepest team out of all you. Having Peyton Manning and Trent Green as my QB's just isn't fair. I have so many high flyers that my toughest challenge is going to be picking my lineup everyweek!

Haha, stew in your own misery, Chico! Seriously, there are still a few guys that weren't picked (Yahoo's ranking gets a little retarded down in the lower rounds). By the way, anyone want to do some straight picks for the real football season? I like to play the spread in these sorts of things, but it's too hard in this type of medium, since the lines fluctuate so fucking much these days before game time. Yet another thing fucked up by the Internet amateurs.

I was already married to another league so I sat on the sidelines for this one although I've had some pangs of regret. It's just too much to deal with 2 rosters, if I'm going to go down that road I'll end up re-enacting the battle of manzikurt, knocking down walls in my condo and ending up bearded and institutionalized. All football coaches are crazy and even the fantasy thing is a slippery slope...
that said--arab, lay off the recievers!! the 5-yard bump changes are for real if the preseason is an indication, that's going to mean if you don't have one of the 2-3 really nasty, freaky-talented guys, lots of the speedsters are going to pull even with the regular bluechippers. if you're rewarding points, get a short-yardage back or one of about 15 tights ends save for shockey who's never going to be healthy. you pull a todd heap and you're golden. arab--have you considered stealing tony t. away from skadden? the man's got something special with the written word-I'm a believer after his recent post about wanker wang.
