Since Panzer's into saving dosh, a large unglazed terracotta tile is a good substitute for a packaged "official pizza stone" pizza stone. The glazing is poisonous to humans, much like the rest of Panzer's diet, so for Alex it may not be so important that the stone be unglazed. For other humans who may be reading this, make absolutely 100% sure the tile is unglazed if you want to stay healthy.

And don't wash the tile with anything other than a water rinse. No soap. Terracotta will soak up the soap and flavor everything else you cook on it with a soapy pong.

A pizza stone will vastly improve any breads you make. It's a good investment, or potentially a lot of fun as you try to con a free terracotta tile out of some small manufactory.
