And the same thing can be said about the use of "There", "Their", and "They're" on this board yet people constantly point out that little discrepancy.

It just seems rather ludicrous to me to claim an entire hemisphere of the planet as my nationality.

Besides, "American" isn't a nationality anymore than "European" is.
