Most of my material is recycled. I steal from everyone. Mix it my heavy dose of self loathing and sometims I get bronze. Most of the time it fails. But it's still a giggle for me. And that's what I'm shooting for.

I've been accused of being someone's alt at least twice on this forum, altho I can't remember who the other one was. It was when I first started posting here.
Although I had several identities in high school/ college that I used for various games I'd play with people, I've never pretended to be anyone other than me online. I'm fairly computer literate, which means I can swap out memory sticks, but I always just assumed it was too easy to figure out if someone was posting under multiple names. I saw people get caught doing that lots of times on USENET, and even thought the groups had the dynamics of a monkey shit fight, I always thought it was a cheap way to play. If nothing else, I'm honest when I post, wherever I post. I figure if I'm in the wrong, and I get trashed for it, that's the price of the game being played. But to be outed as being someone I'm not, that would be really embarassing. Any credibility that I might have, even if it's just in my own mind, would be shot.
Of course, Barry isn't my real name. It's just a handle that has no meaning to anyone but me. But what I post is me, from my heart.

Like I said, I swipe lots of my material. I can't remember where I got "snorting (insert illegal powder here) off a hookers ass". For some reason, I think it was Wedding Singer, or some other wedding reception drunken toast scene in a movie.
I've done the meds thing. I'm currently doing Amitryptyline (spelling might be wrong) and Lorazipam (that looks spelled wrong too) and a generic beta blocker. Mostly to keep me from panic attacks. I can handle the depression fairly well. It doesn't make me think I'm dying.
I totally understand freaking out on meds after about 2 weeks. It's usually about a week for me. I was last on Welbutrin, and after a week, for maybe 2 days, it jacked my blood pressure and I was in just these wild rages. They never warn you about when it starts to kick in, but I understand it's pretty common. It's just hard to ride out those few days. Taking yourself off cold turkey is really hard too. The shakes and cold sweats after about 3 days are really rough.
It's easy to get sick of meds, especially when first starting. If you've got a good doctor, they can help you get the right drug and the right dosage dialed in. Talk therapy helps tons too.

Amitryptyline=Elavils, they suck big time, unless you eat about 5/100mgs (orange or pink), 50mgs come in a burgundy color, ....remember to wash the coating off otherwise you are thirsty like you've been in the Sahara Desert for days. They're awful. Side Effects: Common side effects of using amitriptyline are mostly due to its anticholinergic activity, including: weight gain (lots of it), dry mouth big time), loss of appetite, drowsiness, muscle stiffness, nausea, constipation (oh yeah), nervousness, dizziness, blurred vision, urinary retention (big, big time) and insomnia. Some rare side effects include tinnitus, hypertension, mania, psychosis, heart block, arrhythmia's, lip and mouth ulcers, extra pyramidal symptoms, depression, and hepatic toxicity (watch out for that liver). Be careful whoever takes these, they're kinda dangerous.
