So what do we do with THIS thread?

Giving people shit for copying music is a waste of time, as is the common notion that there is no real difference between CD sound and MP3 sound and so on.

Maybe this will go nowhere.

The deluxe edition of a rather famous big beat album was remastered and sounds better, more "recent" than the original release. The Crystal Method - Vegas:
Cool stuff, the sixth track, "Keep Hope Alive," was featured in Blade while the hero slaughtered a disco full of vampires. Traci Lords is in there as well. In a bit part, of course.
I thought there was something along this type of thread here somewhere, didn't search for it though. My mistake, loopnode.

Just acquired the "Desert Sessions", the one-offs and jerk-offs of the Low Desert Rock set: QOTSA, Kyuss, Masters of Reality, Brant Bjork, et al. Some good, a lot of noise too. I'll get back to you w/ the highlights.
That other thread sucked.

The last full album I listened to was Dark Side Of The Moon. I've also been listening to DEP's Irony Is A Dead Scene EP and random tracks from The Melvins, Clutch, Faith No More, kHr, Immortal and Excruciating Terror.

Assumptive, yet somehow comforting not to see "Your" in the subject line. Perhaps ghettoize to "What New Shock Metal Albums You're Listening To?" My last was 50 Foot Power's(1) "Power + Light": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8h409EpiEM(1) Kristen Hersh/Throwing Muses recent thing.

For years I used to go to sleep listening to Combat Rock on an old clock radio that I had that only played cassette tapes. I'd usually fast forward past "Rock the Casbah" and if I wasn't already asleep by "Sean Flynn" that would put me out cold. I did that for years. I love side B of Combat Rock like a baby loves the warm comfort of his mother's breast. P.S. Yup, Supermarket is from London Calling.

I'm not on your back. I'm being as nice as I can possibly here.
Perhaps you aren't very self aware, Mr. Synthetic Chloroform Contusion, but on the whole this board finds your musical tastes to be highly questionable.
For the rest of us who like music that doesn't completely blow ass, I'm happy to report that I've acquired the two most recent albums from the "Easy Star All Stars", of "Dub Side of the Moon" fame.
"Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band", and "Radiodread", complete covers of Sgt. Peppers, and OK Computer, respectively.
Granted they are at the most a novelty act, but they are a tight band, true to the originals and do an excellent job at reggae and dubifying these classics. If you like cheeba and art rock, this might be for you, bombaklaat.

I have always thought the name "Tool" was great for describing fans of the band.

I've had TOOL in my cd player for awhile now...its the album with Aenema, and 3rd eye..great album
Tool is unimpeachable as their 2nd + 3rd albums integrate past musics (King Crimson) and elevate them to a new paradigm.
I recall reading a "School of Rock" article somewhere where the teacher established a "no Tool" rule to prevent his/her students from playing f**king Tool all of the time.
Here's a School of Rock moment in Portland recently involving Frank Black of the Pixies (now in Eugene) playing with some Portland kiddies:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LNc3T3XodY
Must be kind of overwhelming to hear one's songs played by kiddies...
I know that song from a Placebo concert DVD. Here it is:
Placebo Featuring Frank Black - Where Is My Mind?
Regarding the first link, not the one in my post, the one in the post I quoted: Guys waving their arms at a concert to show their enjoyment seem strange to me. They could just stalk the band and suck them off or get fucked or whatever.
