Cheap stores in Brooklyn, NY:
Korvettes
May's
John's Bargain Store
Sears always and will be a cheap store imo I dont shop in and have never been in one, only ordered a stove from them in the early 90's through the telephone. No net service then, and if there was I didnt have it. Good stove, but only lasted 8 years. Worth the 300.00 bucks.

Ghetto stores-

Gemco/Memco
Ben Franklin Stores
F. W. Woolworth Company: Woolworth's/Woolco
Service Merchandise
Bradlees
Caldor
Ames Department Stores
Zayre

Korvettes...very classy! You are very Wong Foo

the only good thing from Sears is craftsman tools.....I knew a lot of people who went to yard stales and buy a fucked up riding lawnmower because it had its name on it.....if it was still usable ran it till it was dead....took it back to a local retail brick & mortar outlet and demanded a new one.....this was one of their misfortunate mistakes......understanding a hand tool that broke...no matter what price...free replacement for life......good idea/concept.......but to take its this way for something vastly more complex then that.......well it was in the end a big money loser.....

Marshall Fields stores just changed their name to Macy's.

As did many other older named DEPARTMENT stores......that’s what ya get when you buy all of Federated Department Stores & May Department Stores....you can change the names to whatever the fuck you like......Macy's just happened to be the only one that they liked.....well enough to keep around.
