Actually, northern VA is considered the Democrat part of the state. It has a lot of career bureaucrats, lobbyists and lawyers who work in DC (in other words - lib scum). Democrats have been winning more VA elections of late because of growth in that area. The rest of the state has traditionally been in line with the rest of the southern bible belt when it comes to politics.
