The "16" apparently is from gay porn, not straight porn, and may include the four from the T.T. Boy outbreak.
The dude apparently isn't claiming there are cases we don't know of in straight porn; he's just trying to come up with the biggest number possible, by tossing in gay porn and maybe the cases from five years ago.
And he's raising an interesting question: why has the Health Department kept these cases quiet for five years? How did the performers benefit by having the Health Department maintain silence on the problems there for five years? Are there 16 HIV+ cases that might not have happened had the department informed the performers there was an ongoing problem? Is there "blood" on the Health Department's hands here? Did the fact that it was just a bunch of queers mean it wasn't worth the effort?
