I read AIM made a mistake and gave someone a clean slate, only to call them back a few days later(after a couple shoots) to tell them they indeed have the package(HIV).
If anyone has more info let us know

I suspect there will be some IP's turned over to authorities over this Janet Mason insanity on this board. You people need to be aware that the forum owner isn't responsible for what's posted here. It's been proven in court that each poster is responsible for what they say. If you are outside the US I suppose you don't have to worry about this issue.
It isn't censorship to exercise caution. Whoever recommended taking down the image was doing the poster a favor.

i wonder what other cases may have gone down that we don't know about because they were handled privately and without the leak of this situation.
it's actually surprising it doesn't happen more often, with so many performers doing privates these days (Desi Foxx) and using porn as a promotional vehicle to other higher paying gigs rather than as sole income.

It never happened. She was notified IN PERSON at the AIM cinic on saturday. She was NEVER told her test was negative. That was started by the porducer of the Fiday shoot who lied to his performers and told them he checked with AIM and everybodys test is ok. He is trying to cover his ass. Her test was "pending" on friday.
This producer knows he is going to get his ass sued by everyone on that set on Friday, he knows OSHA is going to nail his ass, and he knows there are some people who are very pissed of at him, so he tried to start this lie to cover his ass. Now, thanks to him making all this public you casn kiss AIM goodbye, and say hello to the State of California taking over the testing(performers will have to register as sex workers, like nevada) and concoms will become mandatory, possibly as early as July,1 of this year. Way to go mr. producer.
You can all send thank you cards to the idiot who was the producer on that friday shoot. ANYBODY want to name names, or shall I do it?

What really bothers me about this incident is that it has been handled carelessly from the beginnning. Brooke Hunter was quoted as saying that this is not a MAJOR EVENT. The Fuck it isn't a major event. This is a womens health and possibly others. It's sad that en employee of AIM can actually make such a STUPID statement. If this is the type of people that AIM has on staff then expect more debacles like this seems to be.
By the way I just checked and Janet did her web cam today. Latest rumor is the victim's stage name was a one word name.

Workers compensation... I thought that porn actors and actresses already are eligible for it[1]. Is that still a point of contention[2]?
Regardless, I think that you're overreacting. When there was an HIV outbreak back in 2004, the local government tried[2] to require condom usage then as well. As a paper[3] that Peter Kerndt co-authored in 2007 points out, that failed to stick. If that paper is still accurate, then the California government's regulation of the adult film industry is not comprehensive; rather, it's mostly limited to OSHA complaint response and 2257 enforcement.
(I'll keep my controversial opinions to myself for once.)

I think most states require that an HIV+ diagnosis be reported to the county Health Department.
But there is no requirement that anyone tell AIM if the test is done elsewhere. In that case it's just another statistic to the county and they might not even realize a porn performer was involved.
Performers just vanish all the time. It's possible one might test HIV+ from somewhere other than AIM, panic & run home, and not tell anyone in porn. But I think almost everyone uses AIM so that's not going to happen very often, if ever.
I was under the impression that most states have a law on the books as well that if an AIDS infected person (known to them as in premeditated) has sex with someone without giving them some sort of informed consent....that they would be guilty of a Felony.
Maybe its just Urban Legend.....

You guys mistakenly think that because YOU are here on every day that it is an important place for ME to be. The fact is, I rarely pop in these days because it seems it is always the same douchebags posting the same kind of drivel.
For one thing, the AVN and XBiz article clearly states that it is someone brand-new to the industry and one who has done very few scenes with very few partners. I started doing pro scenes in September 2007 and have done a LOT of scenes since that time.
I'm also still working regularly, despite the claims of some know-nothings here, which can be easily verified by contacting my agent, Shy Love, at ATMLA.com. In fact I'm shooting 5 scenes next week alone - that's busy by any standard, but especially for June, which is traditionally a slow month.
The name of the performer in question will be released soon, and that will be that.
Now that my PR company and agent have been informed of this nasty rumor, the next step is my attorney.

Same with me. Isn't me!! First, I'm 49. I haven't done a porn shoot in a couple months and I get tested regularly through the Nevada testing system, which I understand to be much more accurate than AIM!!
I tried to warn everyone with the Hep C exposure. There are people working in the industry who are diseased!! There are people in the industry who will bypass the system to get the shoot they want regardless of our safety. You see how easily this can happen.

AIM says this, AIM says that. How can you believe anything they say now? The news is the HIV cases were in the industry. Now they're trying to say laymen come in and get tested saying they're in porn. THAT'S BULLSHIT AND YOU ALL KNOW IT!!
AIM knows who's who. We all have to fill out an information sheet everytime we get tested. It asks specific questiions that laymen can't answer. Sure, someone in the industry who's not working talent can get our rates and answer those questions. So maybe they weren't a talent but we all know the entire working crew (directors, producers, agents, production crew,etc.) of porn fucks and gets fucked by talent so talent is still at risk!! And unless they decide to test on their own, there is nothing mandating the working crews of porn to test. BUT WE ALL KNOW THEY FUCK INSIDE THE TALENT POOL EVERY DAY. WHAT AN EASY PLACE TO HIDE FOR THOSE WHO ARE DISEASED. JUST SAY YOU'RE MOVING INTO THE PRODUCTION SIDE OF PORN. AND CONTINUE TO FUCK THE TALENTS THAT YOU SHOOT INSTEAD OF WHO YOU SHOOT WITH!!

I used to frequent a convenience store and since I went there constantly and no matter how high the total...the bill would read "signature on file".
