Advocating assasination of the President is a Federal crime, I believe. I certainly never did that. I'd like to see examples. I don't condone what the SDS and people like William Ayers did back in the 60's and 70's, or what eco-terrorists or violent protesters do now.
This isn't about politics, it's about hatred and violence. Yes, we have a right to post pictures of Hitler and spew hatred, but we also have a right to advocate for some actions to tamper this crap down, in this privately owned forum. I have an emotional investment here, I enjoy these forums, and I really don't want it to be kkkporntalk.
With freedom comes responsibility. I have something of a duty to speak the other side, to point out how wrong hate speech on the internet is. True First Amendment advocates condemn such speech, with speech of their own. And true First Amendment advocates support places like the Southern Poverty Law Center, who sue the shit out of organizations who incite others to violence.
I was a bit strong on electro, but that shit hit me at a really bad time, as the post suggests. Seeing that picture at the same time as I heard that security guard had died, really made me sick of this shit.
