I think the VCR is a highly underrated stroke tool. It's easier to get your 'jack-on' (as they call it in the 'hood) with a VCR then a DVD player.
Also, anyone ever here of a 'Fi-Fi'? this is a stroke tool that people use when they're in the pokey. A few years ago I worked in the kitchen of a non-profit treatment center for substance abusers.....you know, crack heads. Anyway, everyday these freaks would come up to me and ask for latex gloves. They said they were for cleaning and shit. About a week later, I'm coming into work and my boss stops me. He says in a pissy tone "hey, we went through 3 cases of latex gloves in 5 days!" I said that they needed them for cleaning. After I said this, he pulls out an old jim sock rolled half-way down and knotted on top with a rubber band wraped around the middle. Inside the glove is a fucking latex glove along with a horrid mix of what looks like lotion and man spooge.... This is the 'Fi Fi'. Anyway, after that I only issued latex gloves on a minimum basis with signed authorization slips. I was also sited for allowing a community of 'overly relaxed and somewhat dazed' population to exist.
Witnessing this 'Fi Fi' phenomenon first hand (no pun intended) I went home that night and tried it myself.
They're great fun.

I don't know about that. If you're about to spill some cream and you need to quickly go back to a certain moment on film, it is just so much easier to hit rewind or fast forward.
With a DVD player you really miss important pieces as the scanning is so much different. Whatever....
You ever try a 'Fi Fi' though?
