Ok..I've never been incarcerated in any way...but cant your sentence be extended if you commit further crimes WHILE incarcerated?



Time to hand in your college degree, in my opinion.

When you commit a crime, that you're charged with by the prosecution, you get a trial (with a jury. You know, like Idols). Then you get a sentence. That could prolong your stay in jail.

Rather sad, that someone from outside the US has to explain this to you.




Yes I realize this...but all of it would happen WHILE you were incarcerated so your stay COULD be extended.I believe you can also be denied parole for things done while incarcerated like fighting,attacking a guard,etc..

So your stay wouldnt necessarily be longer,but longer then it could have been if you had behaved.

And Eric..never said I was a saint..just said I've never been incarcerated. Never been arrested. While I'm not a saint..I dont really do anything illegal. I lead a rather boring law-abiding life.I'd prefer to stay on this side of the law. Jail doesnt appeal to me.
