I'm not sure I count France's actions in Indochina as even an aggressive surrender. In any case, it sure can't be used as an example of how an effective combat force works.

I don't believe Turkish forces are ever deployed without a British or American unit nearby for backbone.

I'm not sure about the Canadians. I may be wrong there. They don't have the Continental surrender reflex but I'm not sure they're in front-line duties in Iraq or Afghanistan.
