None of the European NATO countries have engaged in anything recognizable as "combat" since WW2 - and some well before that - except Britain. They're useless as a measure of what works or doesn't when things get rough.

This is by far the most stupid thing I've ever read coming from you.
I invite you to 'explain' your statement to the relatives of those fallen in different conficts over the years. (Conflicts often started by the US, nonetheless.)

Examples:
- Iraq (twice)
- Afghanistan
- Somalia
- Sierra Leone
- Former Yugoslavia
- Lebanon (1980s)

And for other countries' armies not seeing combat:
- France (Does Algeria ring a bell? Or Indochina?)
- Britain (as you mentioned)
- Turkey (interior and Iraq)
- Poland (Iraq & Afghanistan)
- Canada (Iraq & Afghanistan)
