Well, how about this? He speaks with a neutral accent that you could almost mistaken for "white". Later you meet him and he happens to be black.

Don't you think that he is exploring the extreme of the negative stereotype intentionally? Almost nobody would have a problem with the scenario as you described it. I am just curious if you are able to see that.
