He was a UDT, the precursor to the SEALs. Waterboarding is part of SERE Training for Navy spec-ops and aviators. My dad went through the same thing. Also during Vietnam. His opinion is counter to Jesse's. "Waterboarding just leads to a trail of snot from your nose to your feet. It's scary, but it's not life-threatening."
