Wow this thread might be able to help folks, I commend you fiend.
My childhood was not fucked over and I am blessed to still be able to reach either parent by phone and credit them for making me the parent that I am today. Single parenting is not easy, but it is easily the most important thing I will do in my life. If anything was fucked up it was the time I spent out of my life unhappy because I could not live up to my father's expectations instead of just understanding that he wanted the best for me. :c
