Let reveal some of the fucked up shit from our childhoods.
When I was elementary school aged I didn't know it wasn't normal to know the mailing address of the state prison by memory and that not everyone's dad had an inmate number. My dad was my prison penpal. I used to get letters about the daily going ons of what happened in his pod and stories about his cell mates. I was 8 years old when I received a photocopy copy of the official rules for coon hunting. One of dad's cell mates was an arsonist that burned down a medium sized amusement part in WillowGrove, PA. I received stories about making jailhouse wine in potato chip bags and how his cellmate "sparky" would make small incendiary devices out of match heads and tin foil to toss at the fags in the next cell at night when they would butt fuck. It wasn't until I was 12 years old that I realized this wasn't a normal form of father/son bonding.

Wow this thread might be able to help folks, I commend you fiend.
My childhood was not fucked over and I am blessed to still be able to reach either parent by phone and credit them for making me the parent that I am today. Single parenting is not easy, but it is easily the most important thing I will do in my life. If anything was fucked up it was the time I spent out of my life unhappy because I could not live up to my father's expectations instead of just understanding that he wanted the best for me. :c

I was originally just going to say "Sparky" was my daddy but this really is a great thread, Fiend.   When I was around 4-5 I remember a couple of times where my parents "pretended" to leave me in a department store and once in a park (I think). They hid somewhere and left me there to cry until my crying got so bad I couldn't breathe, then they would come out and tell me they were "just kidding" and then go on to buy me stuff to "make it better". I could never be pretty enough, thin enough, for mom or smart enough for dad. When I was 17 my dad died, which to me is STILL the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I couldn’t stand my slutty mom so I moved in with my current boyfriend. I have a reoccurring dream of a fair with filled with rides and a funhouse with mirrors. I’m usually running from something or trying to get out. Sometimes I’m running from zombies but not always. I suppose it all goes back to those times my parents "left" me and never being good enough. I think it might also be the reason I am so afraid of being alone.

I had a great time as a kid. Sometimes I rack my brain trying to figure out what went wrong along the line to make me so debauched/fucked up, but I can't think of anything. We vacationed a lot, but when it came to locally, my parents whined that everything was too far to drive, so I quit asking. That's about all I can think of.

I wasn't molested. And I guess I always felt fine about my looks. People always told me I was pretty, but I didn't care. I thought being pretty didn't mean anything. Ironically, I was really into clothes and fashion, even at times when I went through my baggy shirts and boy clothes phases.

I had a great childhood except for my bitch/whore sister going to rehab and before that, constantly smacking me because my clothes took up too much space in our closet and she didn't have room for another fucking pair of Dr. Martens. I still hate her.

Kids can be cruel. All that pent-up resentment has to go somewhere. That being said, I will say it's some sort of miracle I didn't firebomb anything of measurable value. I mean, multiple garbage bins and storage huts don't count, right??
