Reds are 1 game under .500, only 4 games back, but there are 4 teams in front of them. The offense is anemic, and the starting pitching has become unreliable, despite Arroyo's shutout last night. I expect them to fade out of contention after the all star break, unless management brings in a big bat, which would not fit into the long term plan.
