How is it getting ammunition? I read there's an ammo shortage. A guy I work with said he can only get ammo at the gun range and only if he uses it there.

I don't own any guns anymore since moving to Canada. And before anyone tells me, yes I know I could still own guns here but I'm not going to bother going through the hassle.
It's been many years since I got to do any shooting.
Anyway do any of you folks have any large revolvers?
Like Ruger Super Redhawk kinds of things?
By far my favorite things to shoot both really huge and very small caliber revolvers. I couldn't possibly remember the name of the maker but my favorite gun ever was a .22 revolver that my father used to use when trapping in Upstate NY. Lots of fun and you could use it all day without getting worn out.

Almost every gun I own is loaded ! I keep a 20 gauge shotgun in the bedroom, a .45 revolver on the computer desk, a Judge .410-.45 revolver in the vehicle and a .380 in my pocket. Not to mention various and assorted .22's and .38's around the house.

After the election, there was a rush on ammo, but its coming back in stock. Its still expensive, but its available.
Bough my Beretta 92FS on my 21st birthday. As far as handguns, I also have a Smith and Wesson 686 with Hogue grips.
Looking to buy a .45 soon. Maybe a Kimber. But I heard the Taurus .45 is great for less money.

All I have to say, is keep your fire arms out of plain site. Anyone with a glass show case is a fool. Besides the fact that it will be the first thing a thief will go for, you never know when the Po-Po will come knocking and go apeshit when they see guns. Like say when a friend asks to stay at your house for a couple days because his wife threw him out, and they stop by to serve a restraining order. And they happen to see an AK-47 knock off (100% legal) in your display case. And you come to find out the guy is a convicted felon, because he scrapped with a cop 20 years ago. 14 hours later, after local cops, detectives from the county prosecutor's office, state police, FBI, Homeland security, and HAZ MAT robots are through your house, your neighbors tend to get jumpy. Oh yeah, at the end, they didn't touch anything, because the warrant was botched, no department was willing to take responsibility and open themselves to a lawsuit. Every now and then, I remind my friend that the FBI has a video tape of the inside of his house, and the Homeland Security guy looked like a pot bellied pig.

There were some old chemical jars in the basement with their labels off. They sent the robot down to check them out. Most were harmless, lab grade table salt and sucrose, but there was one jug of cyanide. 140 year old house, stuff accumulates. Really, it was an excuse for them to play with the robot. Considering it was Saturday night till about noon on Sunday, I guess there was at least 5 grand an hour of overtime ticking away at the peak.
Oh, and to answer your actual question, I did a Google image search for Haz Mat robot, and I can't tell which it was, they all look alike.

It's not very heavy at all. It's a little heavier and bulkier than my Bersa Thunder but not by much. It had been in storage for a while so required some cleaning but it polished up almost like new. I assume it was a police force or military issue at one time. The gunshop I go to [Mikes] in Tazewell Tn. is great. He has another one in Middlesboro Ky. also. His prices beat anyone I have ever seen and he takes trade ins at a good exchange.

Never take a knife to a gunfight ! period ! Went to the range today. Shot the Hungarian PA 63 9MM Makarov [very good] the Walther P22 [excellent] the Ruger P95 9MM [excellent] the Heritage .45 LC revolver [excellent +] [just too expensive to shoot much] and the Romanian AK-47 [good but a little too rough and clunky for my tastes] A very good day all in all !

True dat ! I got it new in the box with a bayonet, scabbard,sling, oil can,3 mags and cleaning kit for 449 bucks about a year ago. They're going for close to 7 now with no extras !

Have you taken a look at the RFB, or MSAR's new 9mm/.40/.45 AUG variant? Fucking sexy and it'll come in under a grand when it's released this summer. I'm thinking about getting a subgun and possibly a Remington 700 SPS in .308 this summer.

10mm seems to be what i've found peace with-close to .357 ballistics without the burst eardrums and speedloaders.
unfortunately, there's really only the full-sized glock and the colt deltas from years back that don't suck, i've got a hideous plastic gun resultant of this.
anyhow, i have no issues with 10mm recoil given how much .375H/H mag and upwards i've shot-flinching with a handgun other than a snubbie 357 or the like isn't on my radar.
i don't care how many walls i shoot through if i'm going to be killed, i'm probably grabbing my double in .470NE and my new toy from sako in .338 lapua with a fixie 10x on top first. things die at those kinds of fpe-kevlar, ceramic,ndwhatever is tinfoil. the double's really short, like m-4 short so both barrels are just ruining a human and the lapua, although i'm hardly a master of long-distance work yet is good for removing halves of people 2000 yards away. fmj is going through any engine block even if it's got armor easy unless the thing's from a military base. no, not a true anti-material round, but a sako's 1/8 what a chey-tac intervention is and it's not unpleasant to shoot a lot like ,50bmg ends up. if i need to hunt a t-rex or attack chopper i'll get a semi barrett to piss it off. brownings can take shit out, but if you're into that shit, go buy some shoulder-mounted tank-busters and sams from the cold bloc or whatnot, i've got issues if i'm considering anti-material aspects of a round. the .338's turning pretty much anything used for cover into a bad idea anyhow, i've got no beef with traffic copters.
anyhow, the 10mm's freakishly fast vs. any other non fn five-seven semi-auto, alaskan guides are using the plastic semis more and more over wheelguns, they're reliable and take day-glo sites and a cree led/laser which means you're not one-handing a .500sw while holding a light to see which pretty much eliminates control on a follow-up shot.
i'm still using any handgun as a purely defensive tool, think about a fal or g3 spewing .308s on roids while you've got an 1911 or double stack 9mm at 30 feet. the simplest 700 bolt action was what the lapd had to borrow to end that west hollywood shootout=rifles kill and they can do it at a distance where you're not hitting anything with a sig o buckshot. an m240's about as scary to be shot at by as any reasonably portable firearm. that's like a ww2 fighter's wing gun used to strafe or shoot aircraft down spitting out big bullets hundreds of times at you. the battle rifles like the fal were hard to control and instantly empty in full-auto, m-60's and such can be put on target and once it's firing you're not doing shit back to the thing.
the sako in even my unskilled hands is hitting what it's supposed to at well over 700 yards, bullet drop and the need to triangulate anything is irrelevant for the 500-1000yard range, that's scary if you've got a .223 and m9 and suddenly someone explodes like they're a watermelon and you're clueless what to attribute it to.
dropping both hammers on the nitro express should reliably stop a bull elephant if you don't shit your pants and shoot it's thigh. it's overkill for polar bears, kodiaks, anything here. it's meant to stop suv-sized things close and mad at you, the fucking bullets are so out of regular proportion of shit it's worth looking the NE's up=the .700NE puts out 20mm cannon numbers, there's a few dg cartridges considerably bigger than what i shoot, .577's and such. the recoil in that range becomes a part of shooting the gun, which is where i run out of macho and assume pulling a shot under pressure is a reality. then i'm going straight to an abrams tank if i'm undergunned against a prehistoric bear or an spinosaurus or dozen raptors.
but long guns fuck things up, the ten's shit=fan stuff.
mass is such a pain to get approval for handguns companies like hk don't try

and coke's got a sense of form-the 92fs is one of the more attractive guns. the bren ten and beretta are the non-1911's that warrant stainless. hi-power and cz75 are pleasant to look at as well

10 mms are a bad idea because they are rare enough to be easily tracked down. What if you have to take someone out? It's the same with 50 caliber Desert Eagles. On shows like "The First 48", the cops high five whenrver balistics comes back with a rare caliber.

those 92s were the last handgun beretta should have made, the px5 and such put the plastc back in polymer framed guns, they look like toys, the lines on the 92 are outstanding.
finnish sniper rifles and a heym 88 double(not holland and holland pricing starting close to 100k, more like a land rover)
aren't normally-enountered either. i'd be suprised if their was another heym in .470 in the state frankly.
if i wanted to off someone instead of not get fucked-up(there'or mp5-size of a .44 with enough barrel to balance.
but you're correct, if i was just out to off filipinos for being repulsive-looking i'd stick to a round blacks use frequently, ergo the 9mm. even a .380 is ghetto, but it's capable of being silenced, and if i'm just executing the dysgenic, why not make it look like some gang/tribe execution?
the g20sf is just a good balance between ballistics, capacity, and reliabiility for a handgun.
if umbrage is taken with dead robbers in my place that's just time to lawyer-up.
i should probably get a remington 870 combat shotty, it's just a bitch getting the paperwork done here for a gun i don't want for.

Handguns aren't my obsession. I own a few... maybe more than a few. I buy them like I buy tools- the best I can afford at the time. I bought each one with something in mind but I can kill a transgressor or knock a can over with any one of them. The Ruger .22 will take more trigger pulls but that's no problem because it holds 15 rounds.
