Ah, the Greyhound bus station in Cleveland.
(Pointless and boring story sort of related to that follows)
A few years back when I was younger and more naive, I took a bus to visit some family that live up near Akron. What would have been an 8 hr. drive if I had a car then, turned into a 16 hr. nightmare, with a layover in Kentucky which lasted 2 hours longer than it should have.
Anyhow, when I reached Cleveland at 1 a.m. I had to wait until 8 in the morning until the buses started up to finish the trip. I called my dad to come pick me up, but before he arrived I was approached by this man who was rather friendly. We talked for a while and he told me a sob story about how he lost his wallet at the station and was needing money for a room for him and his daughter until they could get other family to wire money to him. Feeling bad I gave the guy a 20. He thanked me and went on his way.
Ten minutes later he returns and he says he needs another 20, so being the good Samaritan I am oblige. He gives me a good firm and hearty handshake and says "Bless you, sir."
I return to the seat I was sitting in before the man approached me. Not 5 minutes later, another man approaches me with the same damn story. Son of a bitch, I'm an idiot, I think to myself.
