For sure you're not the only one, but you are wrong. Twitter is amazingly useful for computer geeks, so unless Twitter totally screws the pooch and breaks their service, they will be around for the foreseeable future. It isn't like some competitor with MORE features can beat them -- Twitter got to where they got precisely by having LESS features -- by being as simple as possible. SO long as they don't forget that and stay up, they won't lose to a competitor.

And it is a good forum for PWs -- limiting them to 140 characters is a definite blessing.
