I just sent the complaint to Macy's:

"Last week on Friday the 9th, 2009 I visited the Macy's on 34th street. I was looking to but a Guess wrist watch but there were no sales associates at the Guess wrist watch counter. I was interested in one wrist watch in particular and wanted to know it's price, but I could not find out the price because the price tag was hidenly tucked away under the watche's bracelet and there was no sales associate nearby who could help me. I later checked other watches and found out that many of them have the price tag hidden away from the sight as the 1st watch that I was interested in. I am pretty sure that practice of hidding the price tag is in violation of NYC's consumer protection law which states the following:

"§ 20–708 Display of total selling price by tag or sign. All consumer commodities, sold, exposed for sale or offered for sale at retail except those items subject to section 20–708.1 of this code, shall have conspicuously displayed, at the point of exposure or offering for sale, the total selling price exclusive of tax by means of (a) a stamp, tag or label attached to the item or (b) by a sign at the point of display which indicates the item to which the price refers, provided that this information is plainly visible at the point of display for sale of the items so indicated. This section shall not apply to consumer commodities displayed in the window of the seller. "
